This part is the bracket that attaches the main rafter to the top of the RV. It is a commonly used caravan spare part for repairs to Dometic awnings; the spare part diagram shows its location.
Rivets sold separately. The rivet is solid except for a hollow section at one end. The rivet is passed through the holes and expanded by using a centre punch (hand tool similar to a nail punch but with a pointed end). If installing in situ a solid mass (e.g. brick) is required behind the rivet head. The final expansion of the rivet is achieved with the hammer head. (Tools not included.)
